For one of my classes this semester instead of just writing a basic discussion board post about ourselves, we had to use some sort of Web 2.0 tool to create a presentation for our introduction (that’s the hardest part for me of being a library media education major – all the media stuff). I chose SlideBomb, which is a website you can use to create slideshows. It’s pretty easy to use and had a fairly simple layout so it would be good to use with younger students as well as older ones. Kind of a unique way to jazz up a presentation.
Add Youtube videos, images, links to images, text, and more to your slides!
No longer are you confined to expressing yourself with just static images or video.
Now combine things from all over the web. We’re adding more options all the time.
Share it, Embed it, and LET IT EXPLODE!
Want to give it a shot?

Slide Bomb....Another Easy Slide Presentation Site
I just set up an account on Slide Bomb and tested it out. I really liked Slidestaxx and I think I still do, but Slide Bomb is pretty good too. Took me a bit to figure out what I was doing, but once I got into my slides, they were very easy to make. Very easy to put in links as well. I could see Slide Bomb as a great way for students to make presentations about a topic as they could make a multiple slides with each slide having a picture or video along with about 500-100 characters of information. So they could put research on each slide. Hmmm....maybe they could even provide the link where they found the information so they would learn about citing sources. Lots of potential. Check out Slide Bomb and check out my own Slide Bomb presentation (very short...just a test one)...

The dreaded slide deck. If you spend your life drifting in and out of meetings for a living, you’ll know that as soon as you hear that phrase “I’ve got just a small slide deck to share” then you know that the interminable hours that follow will be time you will never, ever get back. Death by PowerPoint should be right up there with waterboarding and stress positions on the list of things that make up a bad day at the office.
But if only all slide shows could be like these. A slide bomb is a collection of the best bits of the web. Pictures, videos, links, animated GIF - all wrapped up into a themed bundle of your choosing, ready to drop on whomever you like. It’s a great way to bring a little order to the multimedia madness of the web and it’ll certain wipe the smile off the face of Derek in accounts the next time you have to present something.
Not a single line graph or flow chart to be seen anywhere at www.slidebomb.com.

Slidebomb service is free with which you can create a slideshow , but with many more options than we normally know as we can add different components.
To use the service must sign and having done so, we can start working.
Besides being able to include photographs and videos of ours, we can include YouTube videos, maps from Google , links to images , text and many other items.
It bills itself as a slideshow mashup tool. It makes it easy to pull information, and embed youtube videos and photos from online and that kinda stuff, which again, isn't necessarily that new, but the fact you can then take this and embed it in other stuff too is helpful.
You can upload stuff to it of your own images. They have contests and daily winners, and they have Caption contests for example. It's another Slideshow site.

Slideshow presentations have a reputation for being boring. Spice them up with Slidebomb, a new app that makes it easy to add images, add YouTube videos and embed Google Maps.
To use Slidebomb, first you have to go through the fairly painless sign up process to get an account. Then, it’s a simple matter of adding slides and filling them with content. Slidebomb slides are pre-formatted using your choice of three different templates. You can add images either by uploading them from your computer or just by dropping the link in if the image is stored online. You can embed a location from Google Maps by looking up the address, and a video from YouTube by pasting the link into the appropriate text box.
I like how easy and fast it is to create presentations using Slidebomb. Embedding videos and Google Maps may not seem like a big deal, and it’s not, really. However, the developers claim to be adding new options for embedding different types of objects and content, so I think this app has the potential to turn into something cool and useful. As it stands, it’s still fun to play with.

To make a brief presentation rather small, I just tested slidebomb.com which can insert pictures, links, reviews, videos (youtube) and geographic locations. This is a good place to tell something, a sort of blog what!
The result is not very very professional, but I think that this is not the purpose of this service is rather done for ordinary people wanting to share a little bit on the internet without having to do it training of 4 hours to understand how it works. Indeed, how to create presentations is fairly intuitive.

SlideBomb is a new tool that lets you easily create an embeddable slideshow with videos and images grabbed off the web or uploaded from your computer, and you can add text to each slide, too. My only concern, though (in addition to not liking its name), is that some of the other slideshows accessible on the site made by other users might not be appropriate for the classroom. Nevertheless, I’m adding it to The Best Ways To Create Online Slideshows. It’s worth a visit.

Earlier this year, I posted about a new very easy tool that let you create embeddable slideshows and let you grab images off the web. It’s called Slidebomb. I wrote that I wasn’t thrilled with the name or the picture of the bomb within it, but that my main concern was there seemed to be a number of inappropriate slideshows made by other users that students could see.
Today, though the site announced a free Slidebomb Academy site only designed for teachers and students. It’s looks great.
It’s a definite additions to The Best Ways To Create Online Slideshows.
